WHAT WE DO

Our team consists of highly skilled professionals, providing services on-site at our agency, in their homes, or in the community. We understand that individuals are multi-dimensional. Therefore, our approach to implementing services is holistic.  We meet clients where they are in life, inspiring hope for a brighter and productive future.

Our Services

Partnering together, we can make a difference in the expectations and goals that have been identified by our clients and their referring agency.

Our services that facilitate reunification are below.

Domestic Violence

Family Preservation

Father Engagement

Batterer Intervention + Survivors and Children. Services focus on victim safety, batterer accountability, and community collaboration.

The goal of the service is to preserve the family and avoid removal of the child(ren), provided that it is safe for them to remain in the care of their identified caregivers.

Our staff works actively with DCS employees to successfully engage fathers in services that will improve the safety, stability, well-being, and permanency of their children.

Home Based Casework

Haven Focused provides services in Central Indiana and surrounding counties. We have a multi-bilingual staff which includes Burmese, Creole, French, and Spanish.

Parent Education

Home Based
Therapy

Our team of therapists provide structured, goal-oriented, time-limited therapy in the natural environment of families who need assistance recovering from physical, sexual, and emotional abuse, and neglect.

Supervised Parenting Time

Parenting Education provides structured parenting skill development.  Education regarding parenting, discipline, and child development is a means to provide parents whose children are “at risk” or have been abused or neglected with tools to assist them in the lifelong task of disciplining, understanding, and loving their children.

Transition from Restrictive Placement

Supervised Parenting Time as identified by DCS/Probation is provided between parents/children/siblings and/or others who have been separated due to a substantiated allegation of abuse or neglect or involvement with juvenile probation. This service allows the child an opportunity to reconnect and reestablish the parent/child/family relationship in a safe environment.

Truancy Termination

This service assists children in a more restrictive placement as they transition to a less/least restrictive placement.  The purpose of the program is to prevent a return of the youth to a more restrictive setting/placement.

Our staff provides school drop-out prevention education, job readiness skills services, parent education, and family support services to youth and their families to reduce recidivism of delinquent youth and truants.

Homemaker/
Parent Aid

Our paraprofessional staff assists the family through advocating, teaching, demonstrating, monitoring, and/or role modeling new, appropriate skills for coping with the following areas to build self-sufficiency.

Resource Family Support Services

Face-to-face home-based caseworker services to preserve, support, and stabilize foster family home placements, and to promote the well-being of children, youth, and families.

Tutoring

Tutoring/literacy and math services are provided to raise the academic performance of school-aged youth to a level consistent with state education standards.
